Council calls time on last Melbourne nudist beach

The Wyndham City council will ban nudists from the beach at Campbells Cove in Point Cook Melbourne after 29 years, as new housing developments bring more families into the area.

There have been no reports of unsavoury activity, urban growth is the only reason cited for the ban, which has prompted the Australian Sex Party leader Fiona Patten to accuse the council of wowserism. Nudists will now have to travel to Torquay or Lorne on the Great Ocean Road to enjoy swimming and bathing without covering up. Read more:
