Controversial sculpture at Versailles vandalised

A giant sculpture, part of an art installation by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor, at Versailles in France has been vandalised. The sculpture is supposed to represent the ‘the vagina of a queen who is taking power’ and has caused a bit of controversy since its unveiling. The sculpture, ‘Dirty Corner’, was spraypainted by vandals and is now undergoing cleaning. The artist has expressed his upset at the incident and his view that it laments an intolerance towards art in the country. Read more:
