Commercial flights grounded at New Zealand airports

All commercial flights in New Zealand were grounded for around two hours on Tuesday due to a radar fault. Airways New Zealand, which manages air traffic control, grounded all commercial airlines at airports across the country until the fault was rectified at around 4.20pm. Airways New Zealand issued a statement saying: 'At no point was the safety of any airport operations compromised.'
