Cockroaches may soon be subject to human mind control. A group of researchers at Shanghai's Jiaotong University have created a technique of wireless controlling cockroaches’ movements. The insect is given a computer chip implant that stimulates the nerves in its antennae, allowing the scientist to control its brainwaves. So far, the experiment has only gone so far as to manipulate cockroaches to move in zig-zag patterns. However, researchers hope the technology could one day allow roaches to be used in finding survivors under rubble after natural disasters. Read more: shanghaiist.com
