Chinese invention could enable human drone travel
A company based in Guangzhou in the south of China has unveiled an invention that may change travel forever: a single-passenger electric drone. The drone is powered by four small propellers and consists of a cabin that can carry one passenger.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with reading lights and a small baggage hold. The drone is able to travel for 23 minutes and up to 3.5km high and the company hopes it will provide an eco-friendly alternative for short-distance travel and commuting. Initial estimates say the drone will cost around US$200,000-US$300,000, although the legality of flying one has not yet been established on most places. Read more: traveldailymedia.com
