Chile to build first completed Antoni Gaudí structure outside of Spain

Chilean president Michelle Bachelet has announced that the city of Rancagua, 50 miles outside of Santiago, will begin construction on a chapel based on a series of sketches by Antoni Gaudí. In 1922, Chilean friar Angélico Aranda wrote to Gaudí and asked the famous architect to design a chapel for the city. The design is based on sketches sent to the friar almost a century ago and is set to be Gaudí's first completed project outside of his native Spain. Read more:
