Champagne toast as US Airways makes its final flight

After 76 years of operation across the USA, Friday will see the last ever US Airways flight take to the skies.

The San Francisco to Philadelphia flight, renumbered to flight 1939 in honor of the year the airline was founded, will feature a champagne toast for all passengers onboard. As of Saturday morning, US Airways will be part of American Airlines and will no longer have its own reservation system. American Airlines expects all signage, uniforms, and branding to be replaced by the end of 2016. Read more at: usatoday.com
