Business thriving at India’s mini-Burj al-Arab

An Indian farmer is doing a roaring trade after remodelling his house as a miniature copy of Dubai’s famous Burj al-Arab. The owner of the house, in the village of Phagwara in the Indian state of Punjab, was inspired to create the mini-monument to make use of a triangle of land that was impractical for farming, and he has now started running a restaurant on the site, catering to locals who were fascinated by the new arrival in their village.
