British academic designs user-friendly Paris Metro map

A British academic has released a new map of the Paris Metro, with a curvier, more user-friendly design.

The official metro map’s congested layout is infamously difficult to read, leaving many a tourist struggling to plan their journey. The new map is based on circles looping round a central point, with the Châtelet-les-Halles, Châtelet and Les Halles interchange in the centre, and reportedly takes half the time to work out a route.
