Today is Black Friday, and while it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the US since 1932, the promotions offered on this day also extend to travel. British Airways is offering special offers, deals and savings on flights. Railroad service Amtrak is offering a deal on travel across the US in its cleverly-named Track Friday sale. Starting today and ending on Cyber Monday, customers can save 30% on travel between 10 December 2016 and 9 April 2017 throughout Amtrak’s national network. Offering journeys from New York City to Boston from $45 and Los Angeles to Seattle from $84, bookings can be made through Amtrax.
Celebrity Cruises' Black Friday deal applies to those who book an eligible Ocean View stateroom or above on selected 2017 European cruises and 2016-2018 non-European sailings before 30 November 2016. Passengers on these European sailings will only pay half the cruise fare for their partner. They will enjoy a free classic drinks package for the first and second guest in their stateroom, and the third and fourth guests will get 25% off the cruise fare and a non-alcoholic drinks package.They will also get $400 to spend on board the ship.
