This is where you can find the best Uber amenities in America
Hop in any Uber car and you can expect a seamless ride. Some drivers with the global transportation network offer a phone charger, restaurant recommendations, or even just a mint, and some are taking amenities to the next level.
Across the country, drivers from New York to San Francisco are adding their own personal touches to deliver a unique experience for passengers. In Chicago, those lucky enough to ride with Tom can play video games. The Uber driver hacked a system together using a tiny computer called a Raspberry Pi to convert his touchscreen stereo system into a gaming console. Riders can play Nintendo 64 games with controllers from the backseat, adding a little fun and competition to their trip.
Washington, DC riders can catch up on their favorite Netflix shows in driver Jonathan’s car, in Denver, Colorado, Colin’s passengers can relax in a massage chair, and in New York, Abe is offering fresh hot coffee. "A lot of drivers like to add personal touches to their rides and provide unique experiences and amenities for their riders," Uber spokesperson Michael Amodeo tells Lonely Planet. "Amenities offer a positive experience for the driver who can create an atmosphere that's reflective of his or her personality, and also for the rider, who's taking a highly engaging and memorable trip."
In these American cities, be on the lookout for over-the-top bonus amenities when you book your next ride.
