Belgrade to host Night of Museums in May

The 12th annual Night of Museums will be held in Belgrade and other cities in Serbia on 16 May. In Belgrade 70 institutions will open their doors for the event, which will have two segments - one dedicated to important anniversaries and another focusing on children. Last year’s Night of Museums took place in 50 Serbian towns with more than 200 museums, galleries, libraries and other institutions participating. The event has been part of the European Night of Museums since 2006, and this year the partner country is Austria - the so-called Eintagsmuseum will be built in the centre of Belgrade by visitors in a single day.
