Belgian tourist rescued after drifting in Thai Gulf for five hours

A Belgian tourist was rescued by a fishing boat after drifting in the ocean for five hours between the Thai tourist islands of Koh Samui and Koh Pha-Ngan.

Brigit Haeceman, 26, had reportedly jumped out of the kayak she was paddling off Koh Pha-Ngan to take a swim, and started drifting out to sea when she couldn’t get back into it. Fisherman reportedly saw her waving for help at about 6pm on Thursday. Read more: bangkok.coconuts.co
