Bangkok launches friendly taxi campaign for tourists

Lonely Planet WriterTaxi drivers operating at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport will reportedly receive a “Friendly Taxi” sticker to put on their cars after passing training sessions about legal taxi practices and punishments for breaking the law.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand launched the scheme with the help of police and other government departments following ongoing complaints about taxis, from rip-off drivers running scam meters to badly-behaved drivers.
