Bad weather causes mutiny on Christmas cruise

A mini mutiny broke out on a cruise ship in the English Channel after the vessel, which was bound for Amsterdam’s Christmas markets, ended up going round in circles for four days. Passengers chanted and demanded to speak to the captain, while some stormed reception. Cruise operator Cunard offered £48 worth of vouchers and an upgraded entertainment package as a ‘gesture of goodwill’, although passengers on the £400 cruise claimed the only activity worth doing was a pub quiz that was so busy some participants had to sit on the floor.
