Bacon and sausages off the menu at Norwegian hotel chain

Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen has announced a new breakfast selection for his Nordic Choice Hotel Group – and bacon and sausages are off the menu.

Apparently Stordalen was influenced by his wife, who is an environmental campaigner, and the menu also doesn't feature any products which use palm oil. The move comes in the wake of a report published in October by the World Health Organisation, which indicated that the consumption of processed meat was linked to some types of cancer.
