One of the Australia’s largest travel insurance companies had its databases hacked leaving at least half a million people’s personal details at risk. The hacker stole personal information including names, phone numbers, email addresses, travel dates and how much policies cost. On discovering the breach, the insurer chose not to let customers know their personal details had been leaked, despite the potential for identity theft. Read more: abc.net.au
