Athens to introduce smart cards for public transport

Athens’ transport authorities have announced that the city will introduce smart cards in public transport in 2016. Commuters will be able to use a contactless smart card, either preloaded with credit or as a travelcard loaded with weekly and monthly fares. The smart card  will be used across all public transport – buses, trams and metro trains. Read more: greece.greekreporter.com
