Drivers taking Cape Town’s scenic Rhodes Drive after dark will now wonder if they’ve dropped down a rabbit hole into an enchanted forest. Set amongst the roadside trees are luminous frogs, fish, butterflies and ‘bokkies’, each looking like they have been painted with light. The installation has been created by Cape Town filmmaker Bryan Little, who said the project was inspired by his daydreams during his frequent commutes through the area. The finished work, set between Table Mountain National Park and the suburbs and the central business district, hopes to link the realm of nature with that of the world inhabited by humans. Drivers can also download a geo-tagged soundtrack that features the voices of the various creatures. Read more:
