Amtrak introduces airline-style excess baggage fees for passengers

Starting tomorrow, Amtrak customers across the USA will have to pay baggage fees for items exceeding the carry-on limits.

Baggage fees were first introduced to air travelers in 2008, and have raised billions of dollars for the airlines. Amtrak says that the change in policy is aimed at improving space and safety concerns that excess baggage on board the trains can cause. Read more at: chicagotribune.com
