American Airlines new policy restrictions could hurt business travellers

American Airlines have just released an update to its same-day flight change policy, adding restrictions to a hitherto generous policy.

Until now, passengers were able to change their flight for $75 on same day of the flight even if that meant swapping from a one-stop flight to a non-stop flight or routing through a different hub airport. The new policy states that fliers wishing to change their fight on the day will have to travel through the same hub airport, and must fly in and out of the same airport as their original booking. The new rules will be particularly aggravating to business travellers who often need to change plans at the last minute. Read more:
