Algerians abscond via plane’s emergency exit in Rome

Three Algerians are on the run in Italy after escaping through the emergency exit of an Alitalia plane whilst they were transiting through Rome’s Fiumicino airport. The Algerians, who had previously been denied entry to Italy, had purchased one-way tickets from Algiers to Turkey via Rome, and when their plane was taxiing towards the runway at the stopover airport, they forced open the emergency exit door, slid down the inflatable slide that automatically deployed and escaped.
