Algarve's eleven: region sees first ever art heist
Eleven artworks have been stolen from an exhibition in what is believed to be the Algarve’s first art heist.
The gallery from which works were stolen is located within an old wine cooperative in Lagoa and the exhibition is called Blue Planet, featuring art and photos that depict the ocean. The stolen pieces include works by renowned local Portuguese photographer Alexandre Manuel. Police have asked members of the public to help track down the stolen art. Read more: theportugalnews.com
