Airbnb wins huge local support in San Francisco

San Francisco is the city in which Airbnb started and it’s now the city in which it just got a ringing endorsement from the locals.

A proposal put forward would have limited users of Airbnb to rent out their properties for more than 75 days a year. Those in favour say such a limit would help with the city’s huge rise in rent costs. But the company spent millions opposing the proposal and it seems to have worked –  the idea was rejected by a clear majority of voters. Read more: cbsnews.com
