Abu Dhabi-Dubai journey time could be cut to 15 minutes

Plans for an ultra-speedy ‘hyperloop’ transport system could mean the journey between Dubai and Abu Dhabi would be cut from an hour and a half to just 15 minutes.

US company Planetary Resources are working on a device which catapults travellers through a vacuum tube at speeds of up to 1220kph and have the UAE earmarked as a potential site. Many residents commute daily between the cities and Abu Dhabi is a popular day trip from Dubai for tourists. Read more: thenational.ae
