Ethiopian Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Dublin
An Ethiopian Airlines flight landed in Dublin earlier on Friday morning after declaring an emergency.
The Us bound flight ET500 Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner, was flying from Addis Ababa to Washington Dules International Airport via Dublin. It made a safe fuel landing at 4:50 am (GMT) in Dublin and took off again. At around 6:10 am around the coast of Donegal the captain declared an emergency.
The plane was forced to dump up thousands of litres of fuel and to shut off one of the engines in order to land safely and within the safe weight limits.
No injuries have been reported and engineers are investigating the cause of the problem.
