Tour description provided by Viator

On the southern margin of Nahuel Huapi Lake, surrounded by the beautiful park of the same name, at 41º South Latitude and 770 meters above sea level, San Carlos de Bariloche is located, a mountain city whose trajectory, development and singular attractions have made it at the gateway to Patagonia Argentina. The urban space extends from the east, in an imposing landscape that varies, in a strip of a few kilometers from the characteristic Patagonian steppe landscape in a line almost without transition to the humid forest of the Andean mountain range that emerges majestically over the West. Counting on a wide diversity of offer and services, the city annually receives more than 800,000 travelers, transforming tourism into the main local economic activity, being also an important pole of scientific and technological development at a national and international level.
