Boat trips, whether by small motor boat or in canoes, to observe wildlife are offered in many parts of the park.

There are also short and medium length hiking trails at several of the park entry points and horse riding is also possible.


Swimming in any of the bodies of water in the area is not advised because of the presence of piranhas – which while they won't devour you entirely like in the movies – can give a nasty bite. Locals say as long as you keep moving you shouldn't get bitten.
