Welcome to Londres & El Shincal
Lying 15km southwest of Belén, sleepy Londres does not hearken to its twin city across the pond. This is an age-old gaucho town, which today has been reduced to a collection of crumbling adobes and grazing horses hiding some important history. The town was founded in 1558, and its name (London) celebrated the marriage of the prince of Spain (later Philip II) to Mary Tudor, Queen of England, in 1554. It's set just 7km east of the Inca ruins at El Shincal, which is why most people pass through.
