The Aluminé tourist office keeps a list of available fishing guides and sells licenses (AR$630/1890/2520 per day/week/season).

Mali Viajes offers scenic back-road tours along the Circuito Pehuenia in summer.

Groups can ask the Aluminé tourist office about its list of self-catering cabins – some just out of town – that offer good value for three or more people. High season coincides with the November–April fishing season. There are several basic hotels in town, more just to the north of town, and a hostel attached to the Aluminé Rafting base.

Aluminé has few dining options. La Posta del Rey is by far the best of the lot.

Drinking & Nightlife

There are a couple of low-key local bars, but for real nightlife, head south to San Martín de los Andes.
