Flights & getting there
Es-Sénia Airport, Algeria's second busiest airport, is located 9km east of the centre. From here numerous daily flights serve Algiers and some other Algerian cities. There are also flights to more than a dozen different North African and European destinations. A taxi to the centre will cost between DA1000 and DA1500.
Frequent buses depart from the bus station, located on the southeastern edge of the city, to Algiers (DA770, six hours) and several buses a day to Tlemcen (1½ hours).
The train station is a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Trains run once daily to Algiers (from DA900, five hours) and four times a day to Tlemcen (from DA450, 2½ hours).
