Flights & getting there
Annaba's Rabah Bitat Airport is around 15km east of the city. There are a few international flights to France as well as numerous daily connections to Algiers. A taxi to the centre costs around DA800.
The bus station is a few kilometres out of town on the Constantine road. Buses leave frequently for Algiers (DA1060, eight hours) and Constantine (DA280, four hours) and there's one daily bus for Tunis (Tunisia; DA1800, seven to eight hours) at 7am. A taxi from the city centre to the bus station costs DA300 or a local bus costs DA20.
Annaba's train station is right in the centre of town and is notable for its similarity to a mosque – complete with a towering minaret. There's a daily 7.30pm train to Constantine (from DA245, 2½ hours) where you can connect with services to Algiers.
