This isolated lodge consists of six dark wooden chalets on stilts that jut out over the water. Because of its remote location, the owners emphasise a number of activities including mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips, fishing excursions and riverboat safaris.
The biggest drawcard at the Zambezi Royal Chundu Safari & Fishing Lodge (that's a mouthful!) is that you're going to have to work to get here. Although it's easily accessible from the Victoria Falls area, the roads leading to the lodge are fairly rugged, though the adventure is all part of the experience. Once you're at the lodge, you can revel in the near total isolation, though the friendly staff will work hard to make sure that your stay is comfortable. When you're not relaxing in the riverfront chalets, you can choose from a variety of excursions along the Zambezi River.
