Shared taxisgo to San’a (YR500, three hours, four to five daily) via At-Tawila (YR200, 30 minutes) and Shibam (YR400, 1½ hours). There are occasional taxis to Khamis Bani Sa’d (YR1500), where you can change for Manakhah and so save a long backtrack. The route, along a rough wadi bed, isn’t always possible after rains.
