Lonely Planet review
Despite some price hikes over the past couple of years the Dawood continues to offer the best value for money in town. It’s a lovingly restored tower house with sparkling clean rooms full of delightful textiles, Arabian cushion seats and bundles of real and not-so-real antiques. The beds are soft and comfortable, the views memorable and the sunny courtyard overlooks communal vegetable gardens. The best thing though is the warm and friendly staff that come a-knocking each evening with frankincense for your room. Try and get one of the better rooms on the upper floors. Breakfast included.
Our independent authors have visited Dawood Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in San'a (Sana'a).
