Kidnapping of foreigners and terrorist acts remain a high risk for travellers in Yemen. Western governments currently advise against all travel to Sa’da province and also issue regular warnings about the dangers of overland travel in other areas of the country (Ma’rib, Hadramaut and ’Amran are the current hotspots).
