
Why now?
It's marginally cooler and removed from the hurricane season. Montserrat was an unspoiled Caribbean island until the Soufriére Hills Volcano shook things up in 1995. The volcano still lets off the occasional puff of steam, and although it isn't accessible, there are good vantage points. What is left of Montserrat's diving is legendary.
