It's always cool at the Falls and you get a bonus free shower into the deal - handy when some hotels are short of water in dry season.
Zambia's altitude generally creates a temperate climate, but at 1000m, Livingstone is in one of the lower areas. The result is hotter and drier weather than much of the country - ironic when the Zambezi is dumping 1 million litres of water per second over Victoria Falls, even when the river is low.
There are three distinct seasons. May to August is cooler and dry, with average high temperatures ranging from 25-27°C (77-81°F) and average lows between 7-10°C (45-50°F).
September to October/November is hot and dry, with average highs between 32-34°C (90-93°F) and average lows between 15-19°C (59-66°F). November/December to April is warm and wet, with high humidity.
