Since most people visit Puerto La Cruz with a view to exploring Parque Nacional Mochina or Isla de Margarita, it's worth considering the holiday peak times. During Christmas, Easter and the August holiday period, crowds of holidaying Venezuelans descend on the islands - these are probably the worst times to visit. Luckily, the typically Caribbean climate is glorious year-round, with temperatures hovering around 30°C (86°F). May, June and October are the quietest months.
Puerto La Cruz has a glorious Caribbean climate year-round. The days are bright and sunny; temperatures sit happily between 25°C (77°F) and 33°C (91°F), cooled by evening breezes. The wet season lasts from May to November, with most rain falling thoughtfully during the night.
