Several direct buses go nightly to Mérida (12hr) and San Cristóbal (12hr), via Maracaibo. Within the region, there are buses to Adícora, on the eastern coast of Península de Paraguaná, as well as por puesto jeeps to Curimagua, in the Sierra de San Luis. Coro's center, where you are likely to spend most of your time in town, is compact enough for leisurely strolls about the streets. On foot, you can reach all but one of the important sights, the best of the city's hotels and restaurants, and even the airport. The main bus terminal is also served by frequent city buses. Two of Coro's main squares, Plaza Bolivar and Plaza San Clemente, are linked by the pedestrian mall, Paseo la Alameda.
