Introducing Reno

A soothingly schizophrenic city of big-time gambling and top-notch outdoor adventures, Reno resists pigeonholing. ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’ has something to raise the pulse of adrenaline junkies, hardcore gamblers and city people craving easy access wide-open spaces. In the past, the bulk of Reno’s visitors flocked to its smorgasbord of casinos, but the construction of a white-water park has raised the interest of kayakers and daredevil surfers.

Reno’s downtown is north of the Truckee River and south of I-80. Most of the casino action is along N Virginia St, between 1st and 6th Sts. The River Walk district along W 1st St is the best place for noncasino entertainment and food.
