The driest and coolest months are from June to September, when temperatures hover around 28°C (82°F). The rest of the year is muggy and hot - you'll be swimming in rain and your own sweat. Temperatures rise to around 30°C (86°F) in March which is also the wettest month. The north of the island has a drier climate.
For most of the São Tomé area, conditions are your standard equatorial unwavering heat and humidity, all throughout the year. Daytime temperatures are consistently around the 29°C (84°F) mark with a short dry spell from June to September. Several microclimates also exist, particularly on São Tomé island, where the north has a drier, savannah-like climate and the south receives much more rain, even during the dry season.
