Climatically speaking, Nazca is good to visit at any time of year. Temperatures are pleasant year-round, with the warmest (and most humid) months between December and March - you'll also get sprinkles of rain around this time. Peruvians tend to holiday from late December through March.
Although most visitors to Nazca will be on their way to its famous linear attraction, it's always fun to time your trip with a cultural festival. A couple of the bigger celebrations are Semana Santa (Holy Week), which is held during the week before Easter Sunday - it's celebrated with spectacular religious processions almost daily; and Fiestas Patrias (National Independence Days), which are celebrated with gusto on July 28 and 29.
Located close to the coast, Nazca has a typically arid climate. The warmer (and very humid) months are between December and March. This is also the only time of year that Nazca sees rainfall, albeit just a few tiny puddles. Generally, the mercury hovers between 18 and 21°C (64-70°F) during the day and between 5 and 10°C (41-50°F) at night. If you plan on venturing to the coast, be aware that it's cloaked in garúa (coastal fog) between April and November.
