Eindhoven: Getting there & around

Getting There

Eindhoven Airport (www.eindhovenairport.nl) is 6km (3.8mi) west of the centre, and aimed at business travellers. The new Eindhoven airport is situated only 15min from the city centre. There are daily services between Eindhoven and Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London Heathrow, London Stansted, Birmingham, Manchester, Hamburg and Paris.

The Central Station is situated in the city centre and trains to Amsterdam (1.5hr), Maastricht (80min) and Rotterdam (70min) leave roughly every 2 hours.

Getting Around

The bus station is situated north of Central Station.

Taxis are available outside Central Station on the south side.

Cycling is also a good way of getting around town. To say the Dutch are avid cyclists is like saying the English don't mind football. Eindhoven is a green city, with countless cycling and walking routes and splendid parks.
