Hit the beaches for the best of Acapulco fun - water skiing, wind surfing, banana boating and parasailing are all popular activities. The smaller beaches have boats of all kinds and hire out snorkeling gear, inner tubes and water bicycles.
Though Acapulco isn't a major scuba diving destination, there are some decent dive sites nearby. Acapulco Scuba Center and Swiss Divers Association both offer PADI and NAUI instruction and dives at similar rates.
The best snorkeling is off Playa Las Palmitas on Isla de la Roqueta, best reached on an organized snorkeling trip. Playas Caleta and Caletilla also have some decent spots.
Sportfishing is popular in Acapulco and many companies offer six- to seven-hour fishing trips; book at least a day in advance and figure on a or departure time.
The 50m-high bungee tower at AJ Hackett Bungy is easy to spot on the Costera, and for US$60 you can throw yourself (bungee included) from its platform - especially exhilarating in the early hours of the morning.
Bullfights take place at the Plaza de Toros, southeast of La Quebrada and northwest of Playas Caleta and Caletilla, every Sunday from January to March.
