Taxis collectifs run the 60km (37mi) to Cayenne (1hr) and St Laurent (3hr); inquire at hotels about times and departure locations. The two car rental companies that serve both Cayenne and Kourou enable one-way jaunts but these include a hefty fee.
Getting Around
The best way to get around Kourou, other than walking, is to hail one of the local cabs.
