As one of France's largest cities, Lyon serves up a plethora of events year-round. During the warmer months the major focus is, naturally, on enjoying the outdoors - Tout L'Monde Dehors and Les Nuits de Fourvière offer plenty of diverse open-air performances to take in. Music and culture are on the menu at other festivals too, including a biennial art event that alternates with a dance extravaganza. And Lyon looks its loveliest at the wintry Fête des Lumières.
