Introducing Fort Lauderdale

It’s hard to shake an image as firmly planted as the one Fort Lauderdale had for being spring break party central. But Fort Lauderdale – like the drunken teens who were firmly encouraged to stay away – has graduated and moved on since its Where the Boys Are days. It’s now a stylish, sophisticated city with café-lined riverside walkways; and it’s also popular among the yacht crowd for its lovely, Venice-style waterways that many people don’t even realize exist. Of course, there’s still a great beach; it’s just settled down since its party days.
