Croatia's climate has a split personality: the Dalmatian coast benefits from a truly Mediterranean disposition; further inland, the climate is typically Central European. Zagreb falls into the latter category. Winters are drier than the warmer months and icy-cold - the average minimums during the colder months are all below freezing. Conversely, while the summers are balmy, evenings can get cool.
