Jacó is blessed with consistent year-round surf breaks. If you're not here simply to surf, you'll naturally want to visit when the weather is at its most congenial. The wet season runs from April to December, with September and October being the rainiest months. Of course, the volume of tourist traffic is determined by the weather - you'll be rewarded with cheaper accommodation and a more authentic Costa Rican vibe should you visit during the rains. During the high season, it's jam-packed with tourists, so reservations are recommended, especially around the winter holidays.
